Annunciation Lutheran Mission (Singapore)
Established in April 2019, the Annunciation Lutheran Mission is a small congregation of Confessional Lutherans gathering together weekly in a private residence on Sunday mornings. Fr. Filmore Alvarez currently visits this mission annually to celebrate the Divine Service.
Jonathan serves as our resident Küster and main contact. Based on the order of those whom God had gathered as His Church in Hoya, Germany in 1581, a Küster serves as a combination of sexton and sacristan, offering support to the pastor in accordance with Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.
He helps make sure that the place is prepared for services, aids in the proper practice of Closed Communion, and, in general, attends to preparing the necessities for the prayer offices and services.
