The Singapore Mission of St. Mary’s witnessed a joyous occasion on Saturday, August 6, 2022, as Timothy Tan was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Timothy’s confirmation shows the fruits of careful catechesis in Lutheran doctrine, where he studied the Small Catechism and other essential teachings of the Lutheran faith. This period of instruction prepared him for full participation in the life of the congregation, including the reception of the Lord’s Supper in accordance with our practice of Closed Communion.
Küster Jonathan Teo Zin Han supported the preparation for this special day. The confirmation of Timothy demonstrates the ongoing development of our congregation, committed to preserving orthodox Lutheran doctrine and practice in Singapore.
As a mission of St. Mary’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Philippines and in communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America (ELDoNA), we rejoice in Timothy’s confession of faith and his ongoing participation in our congregation.
